Angelica Maria Vale Hartman (also known professionally as Angelica Vale) is a Mexican American artist, performer-singer as well as a comedian and radio host. She was born in Mexico City, where she was raised by the comedian Raul Vale. In 1973, she was credited as the person who launched the La Balada Ranchera (Ranchera Ballad) music genre. It topped the charts and made Angelica Maria the first Latin musician to achieve the feat of selling two million copies across the United States.
